Hohoe, Ghana – May 26, 2025 – As part of its ongoing social intervention efforts, the KCFC Foundation, a community-focused social club, has donated a ceiling fan to the Hohoe Central Market Health Post. The initiative aims to improve the healthcare environment for market women, traders, and other patients who rely on the facility for essential medical services.
The donation was officially presented by the Hohoe Sector President of the KCFC Foundation, Mr. Daniel Kporfor. In his address, Mr. Kporfor highlighted the pressing disparity in healthcare facilities between urban and rural areas in Ghana. He urged corporate bodies and civil society groups to collaborate with healthcare professionals to bridge these gaps by providing essential equipment that supports timely and efficient service delivery.
“This is just one of many steps we can take to create a more equitable healthcare system,” Mr. Kporfor stated. “We encourage other institutions to join in supporting under-resourced facilities across the country.”
Receiving the fan on behalf of the health post, the Assistant Nurse in charge, Ms Gifty Alemawor, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the KCFC Foundation for their timely support. They noted that the ward lacked fans, making patient care uncomfortable during high temperatures.
“This donation couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Ms Gifty Alemawor “It will significantly enhance the comfort of our patients and staff, especially during the current hot weather conditions.”
Also speaking at the brief ceremony, the KCFC Foundation's Hohoe Sector Vice President, Madam Selase, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to community development and support for essential services.
“We believe in leveraging our resources to make a lasting difference,” she said. “Today, we are proud to support the health post in its mission to deliver quality health care under challenging conditions.”
The KCFC Foundation continues to implement targeted interventions to promote social well-being, healthcare equity, and sustainable community development in Ghana.
